Are you 55 or older? Do you need extra income? Have you had difficulty trying to find employment with certain limitations? Are you looking for help finding a safe/healthy work-site?
Through our Senior Community Service Employment Program, we help people age 55 and older who meet eligibility guidelines get the on-the-job training and current work experience they need through paid community service assignments. Workers earn state or federal minimum wage, whichever is higher, and work 20 hours per week.
The services of this program are ideal for:
- Retirees who wish to return to work.
- Widowed individuals who have little recent work experience outside the home.
- Older adults who are unemployed and want to learn new skills.

The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a community service and work-based job training program for older Americans operated under a U.S. Department of Labor grant. We thank the Center for Workforce Inclusion, Inc. for selecting our organization to operate SCSEP in our community.
The Anoka County Job Training Center SCSEP program is funded by a $46.3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. This funding provides 90% of the support for SCSEP with the Center and its subgrantees providing approximately $5 million in nonfederal match. The SCSEP Program is an equal opportunity program. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.’
