Participants agree to attend all classes. After completing the course, graduates agree to volunteer 30 hours of public outreach. Giving back is what makes the Recycling Ambassadors program special. Participants put their skills to work by helping others learn to reduce their waste and create a better environment.
Unexpected absences policy
Attendance is required at all six classes; however, we understand that unexpected situations may arise that prevent you from attending class. Please let the program coordinator know if you are going to miss a class. If you miss two or more classes, you will be dropped from the class with an opportunity to participate in a later training session if space allows.
Additional information
Information discussed in each class will be posted following the class on the Resources Page.
Along with your Recycling Ambassador peers, Anoka County staff is available to help you be successful in your outreach. Resources such as brochures and educational displays are available. Recycling Ambassadors will be notified of many opportunities to complete their volunteer hours.
