Students attending school in Anoka County, MN, may have access to Metro Transit College Passes or Student Passes, which are transit cards for students who travel by bus and train. A brief description of each type of pass is provided below.
College Passes
College Passes are available for purchase at the bookstores of two colleges in Anoka County: Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Anoka Technical College.
A College Pass costs $140 or $175 per semester for unlimited rides, depending on how much transit service is near your school. Some schools provide a subsidy to help lower the cost of a College Pass. Additional fare is required to ride any route with a fare higher than $3 (for example, select Northstar fares). To cover the additional fare you must add stored value to the pass.

Student Passes
Ask your high school if they offer Metro Transit Student Passes. If not, please contact Commute Solutions and we will provide your high school with information about the program.
A Student Pass costs $87.50 per quarter for unlimited rides. Additional fare is required to ride any route with a fare higher than $3 (for example, select Northstar fares). To cover the additional fare you must add stored value to the pass.
