Anoka County Child Abuse Prevention Council

When we help children today, we all do better tomorrow. 

The mission of the Anoka County Child Abuse Prevention Council is to educate the Anoka County community in order to prevent maltreatment of children.

With education as the primary focus, the Council has engaged in a variety of initiatives to educate the Anoka County community and raise awareness about child abuse.

The Council promotes education on child development, positive parenting, and awareness of the Five Protective Factors which include:

  1. Nurturing and attachment
  2. Knowledge of parenting and of child and youth development
  3. Parental resilience
  4. Social connections
  5. Concrete supports for parents

Membership consists of public and private organization representatives and community members. If you are interested in joining the Council or have questions, contact 763-324-1260.
