Expungement is the process of going to court to ask a judge to seal a court record. People request an expungement when they have been denied a job, housing, or a professional license because of a criminal incident that shows up on a background check.

Attend an informational session and see if you qualify financially to meet individually with an attorney regarding whether this is a realistic option for your situation. No pre-registration is necessary. This is the best place to start the process for criminal expungement and get assistance with the process. Sessions will take place in the Law Library. Sessions start at 1:30 p.m. Please arrive by 1 p.m. Late arrival my prevent an individual meeting with attorney.
