Get started on your career in the Welding Trade! Anoka County Job Training Center will help justice-impacted individuals get ready for a career in Welding, including OSHA 10 and Forklift Safety certificates.

What you get out of the training

  • Training prepares you to take the American Welding Society 3G Certification Test
  • 80-hour course
  • Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
  • Hands-on arc welding using short circuit and spray pulse methods
  • Safety, equipment knowledge and other variables covered
  • MIG Welding 3G Certifications through the American Welding Society
  • Forklift and OSHA 10 Safety Certifications
  • Vocational counseling support services to help you succeed in the training and extensive support to help you find a good job

 Eligibility

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Justice Impacted - broadly defined as anyone that feels their justice involvement is a barrier to employment, including multiple moving violations and complete program assessments
  • Committed to finding full-time employment
  • Physically able to stand for an 8-hour shift, bend and lift

Cost:  No cost to eligible participants who meet program criteria.
