Anoka County commissioners, staff, and representatives from all other metro counties testified to the Legislature during the special session, expressing their opposition to a plan that would have led to substantial sales tax allocation decreases to counties, which is used for transportation projects. Anoka County's new 42,000-square-foot Emergency Communications Center (ECC/Radio Shop) became fully operational in early 2025. The new facility gives the county the ability to meet the growing needs of emergency services in the area. Pg. 13
