Commissioner Scott Schulte has served on the Anoka County Board of Commissioners since 2013, representing portions of Andover, Anoka, and Coon Rapids. Over the years, his colleagues have entrusted him with the role of Board Chair on five separate occasions—an honor he approaches with humility and a commitment to collaboration.
A lifelong Coon Rapids resident, Commissioner Schulte attended Epiphany Catholic School and graduated from Blaine High School in 1979. After studying auto mechanics at Dunwoody College of Technology and Anoka Technical College, he joined his family business, Hi-Ten Service, which he owned and operated for many years before retiring and selling it to a trusted employee of 30 years.
Commissioner Schulte previously served 12 years on the Coon Rapids City Council and has held leadership roles with the Association of Minnesota Counties, Coon Rapids Rotary Club, and other community organizations. He remains active in local initiatives and is committed to improving transportation, infrastructure, and workforce development in Anoka County.
Scott and his wife, Jan, live in Coon Rapids and enjoy time with their five children and eleven grandchildren. In his free time, he loves golfing, spending time at the cabin, and following his passion for racing—a sport he competed in for over two decades.
