Minnesota Statute 273.08 requires all parcels to be physically viewed at least once every five years. Anoka County uses the physical data collected in our mass appraisal process which is ultimately used to determine values on an annual basis.
Prior to staff beginning work in any area, property owners with property located in Anoka County jurisdictions (left-hand column below) can expect to receive an Assessment Notice outlining what our annual review looks like. Physical inspections usually take 15 minutes or less and includes both the interior and exterior. You have the right to refuse inspection either verbally or in writing at RS-PropTax-Assessor@anokacountymn.gov. If the assessor is denied access to the property, the assessor will make market-based assumptions believed to be appropriate concerning the property’s finish and condition
The table and links below can be used to identify when, over the next 5 years, your parcel might be reviewed and by whom. Property owners can also view the current year review progress using our Online Review Map
